Daniel Vasgird, PhD will be presenting at the Responsible Conduct of Research Conference at the Royal University for Women in Bahrain, held 19-20 March 2019. He is Director Emeritus of the Office of Research Integrity & Compliance at West Virginia University as well as a longtime CITI Program content author and Program Advisory Committee member. Dr. Vasgird is presenting with Adil Shamoo, PhD, professor and former department chairman at the University of Maryland School of Medicine who has authored the textbook Responsible Conduct of Research and modules for CITI Program’s RCR Basic and RCR Refresher courses.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) require certain categories of researchers to receive RCR training. RCR is increasingly viewed as an essential component of training, regardless of a researcher’s source of funding.
