Meet the Presenters

Jessie Carder, MS – USDA Animal Welfare Information Center

Jessie Carder is the AWIC Coordinator. Jessie received her BS from Virginia Tech and MS from the University of Tennessee in animal welfare. In 2019, she worked for the DoD as an IACUC Compliance Coordinator before starting her current position with AWIC.

Erika Edwards, MS – USDA Animal Welfare Information Center

Erika Edwards has been a Technical Information Specialist at AWIC since January 2021. Erika received her BS in Animal Science from Iowa State University and MS focusing on animal behavior and welfare from the University of Tennessee.
